Cancelled post office form mailed from Maricopa, Pinal County, Arizona, March 17, 1885. The cancellation is octagonal. This was originally the junction for the main transcontinental railroad with the branch line into Phoenix. The post office at Old Maricopa Station was changed to Maricopa in 1887.
